As the Vice President and Chief People Officer for March of Dimes, Darlene Slaughter oversees talent management and development, recruitment, and human resources policy. In this role, she is also charged with creating a strategy for integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization. Prior to joining March of Dimes, Slaughter was Chief Diversity Officer at United Way Worldwide and at Fannie Mae, and also served as Principal Consultant and Chair of the Linkage Institute for Leading Diversity and Inclusion. Among other recognitions that she has received for advancing diversity and inclusion, Slaughter has been named to Savoy Magazine‘s list of Top 100 Influential Women in Corporate America and profiled in Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching, Black Enterprise’s Top Executives in Diversity, and Heart & Soul’s Women of Substance in Finance.
